Charlie Woods, the rising senior from The Benjamin School and son of golf legend Tiger Woods, failed to advance to match play at the prestigious North & South Men’s Amateur at Pinehurst Resort & Country Club in North Carolina.

Playing at 7-over-par through 36 holes on Pinehurst No. 2 and No. 4, Woods was one shot outside the projected cut line with four holes remaining in the second round. He closed with two bogeys, a triple bogey, and another bogey over his final four holes, finishing six shots short of the top 31 cutoff for match play.

The field competed on Pinehurst No. 2, which has hosted five major championships including the U.S. Open most recently in 2024. The course is an anchor site for the United States Golf Association and is scheduled to host four more U.S. Open tournaments through 2050.
