Chase Briscoe secured a dramatic win on Sunday at Charlotte Motor Speedway, surviving a fierce battle with teammate Christopher Bell in the final corner to claim victory.
Briscoe edged out Bell by just 0.029 seconds in the season’s closest finish, narrowly missing the record for the tightest finish at Charlotte (2005 Coke 600 between Jimmie Johnson and Bobby Labonte at 0.027 seconds).
Ford driver Ryan Blaney completed the podium in third, followed by Josh Berry in fourth and Denny Hamlin in fifth. Kyle Larson, despite finishing outside the top five for the first time in the championship chase, still extended his points lead. Shane van Gisbergen, who won the Charlotte Roval last year, also had a strong oval showing with a seventh-place finish.
The race saw six cautions covering 33 laps and 11 lead changes among five drivers. Larson led 97 laps, Bell contributed 93, Briscoe 62, Wallace 11, and Blaney four. Four drivers finished DNF due to crashes, though 27 of the 39 starters stayed on the lead lap during the 400-mile event.
