[Chelsea, Man Utd and Parma Target Spanish Centre‑Back Jacobo Ramon]
Chelsea and Manchester United are lining up moves for Como defender Jacobo Ramon
The Spaniard stands among the brightest prospects in Serie A, representing some of Europe’s highest profile clubs as a candidate for big-money deals. Among these, the 21‑year‑old defender is drawing particular attention from both Chelsea and Manchester United.
In terms of market value, Real Madrid are the only other top-tier option available, having procured him previously for a reported €9 million fee last summer. However, Ramon has been firm in stating that his ideal environment lies within La Liga, where he believes the football culture better suits his evolving skills.
Preferring consistent playing time as he approaches the prime of his career, Ramon has rejected proposals tied with Real Madrid, opting instead to chase regular opportunities elsewhere to cement his place at Parma next season.
At Manchester United and Chelsea, the defence man is under serious scrutiny, with both sides keen to win his signature before the summer transfer window begins. Meanwhile, the Italian side have confirmed they are still on track to extend his contract for a second campaign with the club.
