Scott wanted by Chelsea for the right price

Chelsea Have No Plans to Overpay for Bournemouth Midfielder Alex Scott in the Next Transfer Window

The Blues sought to bring in the England international as a replacement for Enzo Fernandez last summer, submitting a £68 million offer that was rejected.

Fernandez departed without Chelsea securing a replacement, and the club is expected to target a marquee midfielder either in January or next summer.

Scott will be available for a transfer this winter, though reports suggest that Bournemouth are expected to demand at least £100 million for his release.

Nevertheless, Chelsea are reluctant to meet such a high fee, given that the midfielder’s contract expires in the summer of 2028.

He will be in the final year of his contract next summer, with no renewal planned, allowing Chelsea to sign him at a reduced price.

Liverpool share the same stance regarding the talented midfielder; Scott could become available for £55‑60 million at the end of the season.
