Chelsea are evaluating a potential acquisition of Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford during the current transfer window.

Marcus Rashford spent the previous season on loan at Barcelona, where he recorded 14 goals and 14 assists in 49 matches. Despite his contributions, the Catalan club declined to activate their £26 million purchase option, leaving the door open for other interested parties.

Multiple Premier League teams have expressed interest in the 28-year-old, with Chelsea emerging as a notable contender. The London side has maintained a strong rapport with Manchester United in recent years, having previously transferred Mason Mount to Old Trafford in 2023 and secured Jadon Sancho on loan for the 2024/25 campaign. Last summer, Alejandro Garnacho also moved from United to Chelsea, suggesting a continued flow of talent between the clubs.

Rashford holds a £40 million release clause for European clubs this summer, with exceptions for Manchester City and Liverpool. While he has not dismissed the possibility of a new challenge, discussions with Barcelona remain ongoing, potentially delaying any immediate decisions on his future.
