Chelsea Receive January Transfer Boost for Bournemouth’s Alex Scott

Chelsea have received a significant boost in their pursuit of Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott ahead of the January transfer window, according to reports from Teamtalk.

The England international was heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge over the summer, with the Blues submitting a £64 million bid that was rejected by the Cherries. Since then, Scott has continued his impressive form on the south coast and recently earned his senior debut for England in the Nations League.

Chelsea are prepared to renew their interest this winter and have been encouraged by the existence of a gentleman’s agreement between Scott and Bournemouth. The understanding reportedly allows the 21-year-old to depart for an appropriate fee in January, potentially in the region of £80 million.

Scott has already declined the offer of a contract extension beyond June 2028, signalling his intention to leave either in the upcoming window or at the end of the season. While Arsenal and Manchester United are also monitoring the situation, the midfielder is said to be leaning towards a move to west London.
