Chelsea’s Caicedo and James Could Miss Brentford Derby After Absent From Training
Moises Caicedo has not featured for the Blues since picking up an injury against Brighton & Hove Albion, and it now appears he may not be ready for Friday’s match after missing the latest training session.
Reece James also faces uncertainty over his availability, as the English full-back was absent from Thursday’s session and could be ruled out of the west London derby away from home.
Meanwhile, there is a confirmed injury concern for Chelsea. Joao Pedro is set to miss the match after being withdrawn from Brazil’s squad for upcoming international friendlies.
The Brazilian forward has been in excellent form, contributing six goals across four league appearances, making his absence a significant setback for the Blues ahead of the derby.
Chelsea have had a mixed start to the Premier League campaign and currently sit sixth in the standings with seven points, already five behind leaders Arsenal.
