The China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) convened with listed companies and financial experts on Saturday to discuss capital markets and financial conditions amid market volatility.
The gathering, chaired by CSRC chairman Wu Qing, aimed to gather stakeholder feedback on the current market environment and regulatory framework.
This initiative follows a significant market correction, with China’s CSI 300 Index declining 12% in the third quarter, driven by a 31% plunge in the tech-heavy Star Market 50 Index.
