<p>West Indies legend Chris Gayle has praised the Kerala Cricket League (KCL), describing the tournament as an important platform for the state’s emerging cricketers to showcase their talent and advance their careers.</p>
<p>Gayle, who serves as co-owner and mentor of the Kochi Blue Tigers, was speaking to the media in Thiruvananthapuram after arriving in Kerala. He expressed his joy at returning to the state and thanked team owner Subhash George Manuel for bringing him aboard with the franchise.</p>

<p>The former West Indies opener views Kerala as having a strong pool of cricketing talent and asserts that competitions like the KCL offer players essential exposure to progress to higher levels.</p>
The “Universe Boss” is assuming a distinct responsibility with the Kochi Blue Tigers, shifting from his playing legacy to work intimately with the franchise’s budding athletes.</p><p>Gayle stated he thoroughly enjoys the mentorship role and aims to leverage his extensive international experience, tactical foresight, and pitch knowledge to assist youthful cricketers in elevating their game.</p>
<p>“I am thoroughly relishing my mentor position. My objective is to transfer my decades of international expertise, strategic insights, and pitch strategies directly to these youngsters to propel them forward.”&</p>
