According to recent reports from the Cincinnati Enquirer, the Cincinnati Bengals and the Cincinnati Regional Sports Commission are currently in discussions with the NFL regarding the possibility of hosting the 2029 NFL Draft. Bengals executive vice president Katie Blackburn confirmed the organization’s enthusiasm for the bid during interviews with local beat writers on Monday.
“We’ve expressed interest, as have many other cities,” Blackburn stated via Kelsey Conway of The Enquirer. “We are exploring it and seeing whether we can have an opportunity to do that. We would love it if we could. We would be excited about it. We’ll continue to work on it to see if it can happen.”
A final decision regarding the host city has not yet been established.
The NFL has already designated Washington, D.C., as the site for the 2027 draft, while Minneapolis has been selected to host the event in 2028.
Since the NFL moved the draft away from New York after 2014, various cities have hosted the event, including Chicago (twice), Philadelphia, Arlington, Nashville, Cleveland, Las Vegas, Kansas City, Detroit, Green Bay, and Pittsburgh. Notably, the 2020 draft was conducted virtually.
