Clemson football’s 2027 recruiting class gained significant traction in the national rankings after securing four-star defensive back Jayden Aparicio-Bailey.
The Tigers now hold the No. 11 position in 247Sports’ team recruiting rankings and No. 15 in On3’s rankings. ESPN has not revised its team rankings since Aparicio-Bailey’s commitment, keeping Clemson at No. 14 in its most recent update.
Aparicio-Bailey, a standout from Prattville, Alabama, chose Clemson over Georgia and other finalists, including Auburn and South Carolina, which saw their official visits canceled as the Tigers solidified his recruitment. His pledge marks Clemson’s 24th commitment in the 2027 class.
The addition of Aparicio-Bailey bolsters Clemson’s defensive back corps, joining four-star Jarrell Chandler and three-star prospects Harrison Luke, Bryant Robinson, and Christian Chancellor. While recruiting services project him as a safety, Clemson intends to utilize him at cornerback.
The Tigers have maintained strong momentum on the recruiting trail, with Aparicio-Bailey becoming the 17th player to commit since mid-May. This progress has propelled the class into the top 15 nationally across major recruiting platforms.
Even prior to this commitment, ESPN highlighted key contributors in Clemson’s 2027 class, including quarterback Kharim Hughley, offensive lineman J.J. Brown, and defensive prospects Desmond Malpress, Bryce Kish, and Luke Starcevic.
With official visit season concluded, Clemson remains engaged in several recruiting contests, providing further opportunities to enhance one of the nation’s most competitive 2027 classes.
