He ejected running back Ollie Gordon II from Friday night’s preseason matchup after the player incurred an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty for throwing the ball at an opponent.
“We had a chance to keep a drive alive, and I consider pre‑snap and post‑snap penalties unacceptable,” Hafley explained. “Such actions are disrespectful to the team and selfish, and they directly cost games.
