Coca-Cola to Report Earnings Tuesday; Analysts Highlight Outlook Amid Inflation Pressures
Coca-Cola is set to report its quarterly earnings before the opening bell on Tuesday.
Wall Street analysts have outlined their expectations for the upcoming report:
- Earnings per share: 88 cents expected
- Revenue: $12.92 billion expected
While recent quarters have seen consumers pressured by inflation and economic uncertainty, Coca-Cola maintains robust demand for its products, spanning both premium offerings like Fairlife and its flagship beverage.
In contrast, PepsiCo has struggled significantly, notably cutting its full-year forecast in October due to sluggish domestic demand. The U.S. soda segment performed poorly in the third quarter. Meanwhile, Coca-Cola recently secured the U.S. operations of longtime PepsiCo customer KFC.
Looking ahead, Coca-Cola projects full-year comparable EPS growth of 9% to 10% alongside roughly 5% organic revenue growth.
The company also announced in September a plan to invest $10 billion in U.S. infrastructure through 2030, including previously announced initiatives in California, New York, and other states.
Over the past year, shares have gained approximately 32%, significantly outperforming the S&P 500’s gains of around 12%. The company’s market capitalization stands at roughly $398 billion.
