Former UFC fighter Colby Covington discussed his experience at WrestleMania 41 during a recent interview with O’HARA & FRIENDS Wrestling. He singled out the Night 2 main event, John Cena versus Cody Rhodes for the WWE Undisputed Championship, as the greatest match he has ever witnessed.

In that contest, Cena captured his record‑tying 17th world title. Highlights of Covington’s comments (via Fightful) are presented below.

Colby Covington on John Cena vs. Cody Rhodes

“That was probably the greatest match I’ve ever seen. It was an incredible bout. From my perspective, they put everything on the line and delivered a spectacular show for the fans. I had a fantastic time. The WWE universe is unlike any I’ve experienced before – it was an amazing weekend full of energy. The stadium was electric, sold out both nights at Allegiant Stadium. It’s insane that WWE can fill a venue that even the Raiders can’t sell out. These are exciting times for WWE, and I’m looking forward to what’s next.”

On John Cena Being His Dream Opponent

“My dream opponent right now would probably be John Cena. He’s at the top of the pack and holds the Universal Championship, so he’s a prime target for many wrestlers. However, I think he’s nearing the end of his career – that was his final WrestleMania appearance. Cody Rhodes could be an interesting matchup though; imagine two heels fighting to determine who truly embodies the American spirit.”

The WrestleMania title bout featured hip‑hop star Travis Scott interfering on Cena’s behalf, aiding his victory. Rhodes later reclaimed the championship from Cena in August at SummerSlam, defeating him in a street fight.
