Corn futures were trading slightly lower on Tuesday, with contracts down fractionally to a penny by midday. The national average cash corn price, according to CmdtyView, rose 3¼ cents to $4.87. The latest Crop Progress report indicated that 86% of the U.S. corn crop had dented as of September 13, with 42% classified as mature.
