Corn futures slipped 1 to 3 cents lower across most contracts on Tuesday. Open interest fell by 29,200 contracts on Monday, with 37,997 September contracts liquidated ahead of the first notice day this Friday. According to CmdtyView, the national average cash corn price dropped 1¼ cents to $3.70½.
The USDA’s Crop Progress report indicated that 44% of the corn crop had reached the dent stage, while 7% was mature—both figures in line with historical averages. Crop condition ratings remained steady at 71% good to excellent, and the Brugler500 index declined one point to 381, reflecting a one‑point shift from excellent to good.
September 2025 corn traded at $3.88, down 1¼ cents;
Nearby cash was $3.70½, also down 1¼ cents;
December 2025 corn stood at $4.09½, down 2¾ cents;
March 2026 corn was $4.26¾, down 3 cents;
New‑crop cash fetched $3.67¼, down 1½ cents.
