Cotton futures fell 130 points on Monday, while other contracts declined by 20 to 25 points. Crude oil slipped $2.94 per barrel, settling at $76.62. The U.S. dollar index rose $0.157 to $100.775.
The Seam recorded three bales sold on June 19 at an average price of 65 cents per bale. The Cotlook A Index remained steady at 88.60 cents on Friday. ICE certified cotton stocks fell by 1,575 bales on June 19, leaving total certified inventories at 189,447 bales. The Adjusted World Price slipped another 111 points last week, now at 62.37 cents per pound.
July 26 cotton was at 74.75, down 130 points.
December 26 cotton was at 79.43, down 24 points.
March 27 cotton was at 80.82, down 23 points.
