The USDA Export Sales report showed export commitments of 4.735 million hundred‑weight (RB), representing a 17% increase over the same period last year. This figure accounted for 41% of the USDA’s export projection and lagged the typical 49% pace.
The Seam recorded 164 bales sold on Thursday at an average price of 78.01 cents per pound. The Cotlook A index remained steady at 93.25 on September 24. ICE certified cotton stocks were unchanged at 29,556 bales as of 9/24, and the Adjusted World Price fell 283 points to 66.09 cents per pound.
October 26 cotton futures were at 79.51, up 60 points.
December 26 cotton futures were at 82.22, down 109 points.
March 27 cotton futures were at 85.03, down 103 points.
