Cotton futures closed the Wednesday session with gains ranging from 24 to 96 points at the final bell. Crude oil rose 90 cents on the day, while the US dollar index increased by $0.356.
Parts of Central Texas are expecting 1 to 3 inches of precipitation over the next week, while the Texas Panhandle and eastern regions will see minimal totals. The Southeast region is projected to receive only trace amounts of moisture.
The Cotlook A Index remained unchanged at 90.70 cents on Tuesday. ICE certified cotton stocks decreased by 20,673 bales on July 14 through decertification, bringing the certified stock level to 100,612 bales. The Adjusted World Price rose 92 points last week to 62.86 cents per pound.
October 2026 Cotton closed at 80.8, up 120 points.
December 2026 Cotton closed at 81.8, up 93 points.
March 2027 Cotton closed at 83.15, up 92 points.
