Supporters of Donald Trump have continued to publicly advocate for his administration, prompting speculation about potential future appointments from White House insiders who believe the rapper could serve as the next Press Secretary.
These remarks emerge against the backdrop of recent announcements surrounding conservative political commentator Katie Zacharia, who was recently appointed to the role but resigned after only five days due to intense public scrutiny.
During the weekend, White House Communications Director Steven Cheung posted a video on social media featuring himself speaking with Minaj aboard Air Force One; the rapper has been a vocal advocate for Trump throughout the past year.
In the video, Minaj explains her strong support for Trump, characterizing him as a self-made billionaire and businessman, and arguing that this background ensures he possesses the expertise necessary to address both national and economic challenges.

Minaj also appeared alongside Trump at a campaign rally in Port Huron, Michigan, on October 26, where the President commended her attendance and humorously noted her distinctive appearance as “hard to miss”.
Upon being invited to speak on stage, Minaj credited Trump with transforming the nation’s trajectory, stating he had given the country a positive outlook to anticipate.
She emphasized the importance of electing more prominent figures, adding that this moment represents a pivotal turning point for the nation, and identified herself as his “Number One fan” (reported by BBC News).

This Michigan appearance follows Minaj’s recent interview on Fox News’ The Ingraham Angle, where she discussed her intention to work within the Trump administration and defended her enduring support for the President.
“I am honored to have the opportunity to work with this administration and with President Trump,” she stated. “He has inspired many individuals, not just me, and he is fun.”
“He is not merely intelligent nor simply the President,” she continued. “Rather, he is someone I can connect with personally, someone who remains fundamentally himself wherever he goes—very grounded. It is easy to relate to him; it feels as though he truly listens to you and understands your perspective. I simply love him, and I will never make excuses for that.”
Prior to these recent engagements, Minaj made surprise appearances at Turning Point USA events, including one last December where she spoke with Erika Kirk, widow of murdered conservative commentator Charlie Kirk. During this appearance, she expressed deep respect and admiration for President Trump while subsequently criticizing California Governor Gavin Newsom.
Following this, Minaj deactivated her Instagram account amidst widespread public backlash and faced multiple formal petitions requesting her deportation from the United States; she relocated to the U.S. from Trinidad when she was five years old.
Shortly thereafter, she renewed her criticism of Governor Newsom, informing him that no individual has offered greater advocacy for the LGBTQ+ community than Trump.
