Dallas is shoring up its offensive line ahead of the regular season.
The Cowboys finalized a trade Saturday to acquire offensive tackle Broderick Jones from the Pittsburgh Steelers, according to multiple reports.
Pittsburgh received a 2027 third-round pick and a 2027 sixth-round pick in the swap, while Dallas also surrendered a 2027 fourth-round selection, according to ESPN.
Selected 14th overall by Pittsburgh in the 2023 NFL Draft, Jones has started 38 of 45 games played over his first three seasons.
His 2025 campaign ended prematurely due to a neck injury sustained in a Week 12 loss to the Chicago Bears.
Although medically cleared for the upcoming season, the 25-year-old has reportedly experienced a loss of strength following spinal fusion surgery.
Speaking to reporters during training camp in June, Jones acknowledged he is still working to regain his previous form and add weight.

“I’m still working through it,” Jones told ESPN. “I wouldn’t say I’m where I want to be. Just trying to get back in shape and putting the weight back on in the right places.”
Despite the setbacks, Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin said he believes Jones remains a “starter-level” player.
“I think it speaks volumes for Broderick and what he’s been doing here the last couple of months,” Tomlin said. “So I just think, like anything, when a player comes off of a medical clearance, you can’t just go to a hundred miles an hour. … Broderick, he’s been a starter here.”
