Critical Update: A Fire Caused Tragedy on Mallorca
The fire that erupted early Thursday morning in a residential building on the Spanish island of Mallorca resulted in two fatalities and left a dozen others injured. Residents were warned of the blaze as officials worked to contain it.
Authorities confirmed that nine individuals received medical attention due to smoke inhalation. The incident, which began around 5 a.m. on the third floor of the Magaluf area, quickly spread throughout the building. Efforts to extinguish the flames took over two hours. Over 12 people were safely evacuated, and the situation was under investigation by the Civil Guard as they determined the cause of the blaze.
