Crunchafi Launches FRS 102 Section 20 Lease Accounting Tool for UK and Ireland

Crunchafi has rolled out new functionality that supports FRS 102 Section 20 lease accounting for organizations operating in the United Kingdom and Ireland.

In a statement, the company described the feature as a “purpose‑built” solution for firms and chartered accountancy practices that manage FRS 102 Section 20 reporting.

The update is designed to enable compliant reporting under the revised FRS 102 standard, which applies to accounting periods that begin on or after 1 January 2026.

Under the new requirements, many leases that were formerly off‑balance‑sheet must now be recorded as right‑of‑use assetseýle and corresponding lease liabilities.

Crunchafi notes that the tool will be particularly valuable for companies that oversee FRS 102 across “dozens or hundreds of client entities at once.” The solution aims to standardise lease‑accounting workflows and lessen reliance on spreadsheets and manual calculations.
