Crystal Palace are in discussions to bring Ivory Coast forward Evann Guessand back to the club on a season‑long loan from Aston Villa.

The 25‑year‑old spent the second half of last season at Selhurst Park, helping Palace win the Conference League in May.

Guessand joined Villa for £26 million last August, but struggled to establish himself, scoring two goals in 21 appearances across all competitions.

After his January move to Palace, he netted his first Premier League goal in a 1‑0 win over Wolves and appeared as a substitute in the Conference League final victory over Rayo Vallecano.

He also collected a Europa League winner’s medal after earlier featuring for Villa in their successful campaign.

Guessand earned two caps for the Ivory Coast at the recent World Cup.

Palace opted not to activate a purchase option earlier in the summer, returning him to Villa for pre‑season training.
