The new star‑filled record delves into love and romance, delivering collaborations with artists such as Myke Towers, Danny Ocean, Diljit Dosanjh, and others.

Daddy Yankee’s latest effort, La Postal, showcases a lineup of high‑profile guests—including Cardi B, Diljit Dosanjh, Bizarrap, and more—while pushing reggaeton toward a smoother, more romantic sound.

In an Instagram post, the Puerto Rican icon described the project as “a postcard written in 15 songs, where you’ll find love in all its forms: the real one, the fake one, the love that stays, the love that leaves, the love that’s celebrated, the love that hurts, and the love that holds us together.”

After nearly two decades at the top of reggaeton, Daddy Yankee announced his retirement in 2022 following the La Última Vuelta World Tour and revealed his dedication to Christianity. His previous album, Lamento En Baile, reflected those spiritual themes. La Postal marks a shift toward secular material while retaining his signature catchiness.

Earlier this month, Daddy Yankee previewed the album with the lead single “BOTZ (Bésame Otra Vez),” blending reggaeton beats with electronic elements and his signature aggressive rap style. The track also highlights his expanded global reach through a collaboration with Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh on “Pokito.” The most unexpected pairing on the project is the sultry bachata “Cosita,” where he teams up with Cardi B.

Additional featured artists on La Postal include Myke Towers on “Se Va,” Danny Ocean on “Alfombra Voladora,” Bizarrap on “Pa’ Que Llorar,” and De La Rose on “Enawo.” The album arrives just weeks before Daddy Yankee is set to receive the Latin Recording Academy’s Person of the Year honor at a gala the night before the Latin Grammy Awards on November 12 in Las Vegas.
