Daniel Jones Expects Tyler Warren to Build on Rookie Momentum

The Colts’ 2025 season began with real promise, but a seven-game losing streak to close the year left Indianapolis with an 8-9 record and plenty of frustration.

Quarterback Daniel Jones suffered a torn Achilles late in the season, and the injury hurt the offense as a whole. Tight end Tyler Warren was one of the players affected, with his production dipping noticeably down the stretch.

Warren had 50 receptions for 616 yards during the team’s 8-2 start, then finished the remainder of the season with 26 catches for 201 yards. With Jones back on the field this spring, he said he expects Warren to take another step forward after a strong rookie campaign.

“I think he was a really smart football player as a rookie,’’ Jones said, via Mike Chappell of Fox 59. “He came in with a great feel and instincts, and that’s something that only gets better with experience and reps. He’s gotten more reps, and you can tell the way he sees things now is even better, and he’s moving well.’’

Warren led the Colts in targets last season, and with Michael Pittman’s departure, there could be even more opportunities available for the second-year tight end in what Indianapolis hopes will be a more consistent season.
