1Which ’90s sitcom did De La Soul decline a starring role in?
Posdnuos: The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air.
CONFIRMED.
“We shared representation with Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince, and they believed one of us should audition for the show. However, our focus remained firmly rooted in music. In today’s landscape, artists embrace multifaceted roles—embracing singing, dancing, and performance. Back then, the idea of exploring anything beyond pure rapping felt foreign. We weren’t serious about it. Similarly, we were frequently approached for film roles—be it *Who’s The Man?*, *Juice*, or *Bamboozled*—but our dedication lay in the artistry of our craft.”
