No current Manchester City player was signed during the period in which an independent commission found the club guilty of all charges relating to breaches of the Premier League’s financial regulations.
The alleged violations took place between 2009 and 2018. Manchester City has denied any wrongdoing and lodged appeals against all charges.
The longest‑serving first‑team player signed from another club is Portuguese centre‑back and captain Ruben Dias, who joined from Benfica in 2020.
Norwegian striker Erling Haaland is the next longest‑serving arrival, having transferred from Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2022.
Midfielder Phil Foden is the only player to have featured for the club during the period of the financial rule breaches, yet he is not a senior signing, having come through the academy.
Foden, now 26, made his first‑team debut in a Champions League match against Feyenoord in November 2017.
Like Foden, versatile midfielder Rico Lewis is also an academy product, although he did not make his senior debut until August 2022.
All other senior players in the squad were signed between 2023 and 2026.
