Dr. Ros C. Rivaz Joins ICC Board as Independent Director

Dr. Ros C. Rivaz has been appointed to the International Cricket Council board as an independent director, commencing a three‑year term that may be extended for up to an additional three years.

Rivaz currently chairs Anglian Water and serves as lead independent director for Aperam SA and Victrex plc, both European material‑science firms. She brings extensive experience from senior roles in blue‑chip companies in the UK and abroad, offering a broad perspective on strategy, risk and performance management, according to an ICC statement.

The ICC noted that throughout her career Dr. Rivaz has been an active board member, conducting site visits and engaging with stakeholders across government, commercial and community sectors. Her deep knowledge of governance, corporate strategy and operational effectiveness, coupled with a strong commitment to diversity and inclusion, makes her a valuable addition to the board.

Rivaz is also involved in community and educational initiatives, such as promoting STEM uptake among young women through the Your‑Life campaign, chairing the University of Southampton Council, and supporting charities like Water Aid.

“It is a privilege to join the ICC Board at such an exciting time for the sport,” Rivaz said. “Cricket continues to reach new audiences, inspire communities and strengthen its position as one of the world’s most influential global sports.”
