Drew McIntyre has addressed his highly anticipated return to WWE, stating that the Scottish Superstar will return “when I decide.” Speaking on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, McIntyre revealed that he is currently in the best shape of his life at 285 pounds and is actively expanding his in-ring arsenal with unique, violent moves.

McIntyre, who has been focusing on his Hollywood career with projects like the Highlander reboot, The Last Druid alongside Russell Crowe, and Agent of Shadows, emphasized that WWE remains his home. “When the time is right, WWE is home,” he shared. He noted that his time away—his longest since starting wrestling at age 15—has allowed him to focus on physical conditioning, particularly joint spacing, range of motion, and building a highly stable base from the feet up.

The former WWE Champion feels stronger than ever, joking that he could “catch anybody and spin them around and chuck them wherever I want.” Fan highlight reels have inspired him to reintroduce forgotten moves from his early career, which he believes he can perform better now than in his twenties. “Yes, 100%. Mostly violence,” McIntyre confirmed when asked about new additions to his offense.

While he has not wrestled since losing to Jacob Fatu in an Unsanctioned Match at WrestleMania 42 in April, McIntyre recently showed he is staying sharp by running the ropes. As he balances acting projects and training, fans continue to call for his return, but the timing will ultimately be on his terms.
