CAIRO, Nov 7 (Reuters) – Iran’s semi‑official Tasnim news agency reported on Saturday that early indications suggest two missiles struck Qeshm Island, though no official details on any damage have been released.
Tasnim added that additional information will be issued after the appropriate authorities confirm the event.
The official IRNA news agency previously cited local witnesses stating that two projectiles hit the Suza area of Qeshm Island in southern Iran, following the audible passage of an aircraft over the island.
On the same day, Qatar’s International Media Office refuted circulating claims that the United States and Iran had failed to reach a deal to end hostilities, calling the reports false and misleading. The office quoted the Qatari prime minister as affirming that both parties are continuing their efforts to reach an agreement.
The statement further noted that Qatar’s mediation initiatives remain active, conducted in close coordination with Washington and Tehran, to facilitate the negotiations.
