Newly hired Eagles offensive coordinator Sean Mannion addressed his plans for the upcoming season during a press conference Thursday, following a disappointing offensive performance in 2025. With two years of NFL coaching experience under Matt LaFleur in Green Bay, Mannion was questioned about whether his offensive scheme would draw heavily from his past work or incorporate successful elements of the Eagles’ previous offenses. “Obviously, there are things I believe in, and there are things schematically that I have a background in,” Mannion stated. “But, ultimately, it’s going to be a blend. It’s constantly going to evolve, and it’s all with that exact goal in mind: maximizing things for the players. How do we make the Eagles the best team we can be, and how do we make the Eagles offense the best it can be, and how do we put all of our players in a position to really succeed and maximize their strengths?” Quarterback Jalen Hurts will be a focal point of Mannion’s strategy, with the coordinator confirming a focus on integrating elements that Hurts is most comfortable with to create a system where he can excel. This marks another transition for Hurts with a new offensive coordinator, and the synergy developed will be crucial to the Eagles’ success in the 2026 season.
