Ed Sheeran is still within a year of releasing his latest album, Play, his eighth studio record, which arrived in September 2025 after the lead single “Azizam” kicked off promotion. While the Play era fell short of the impact of his earlier projects, none of its tracks have persisted on any Billboard chart.

The British artist, who recently exited his long‑standing partnership with Atlantic Records, is currently reflected on several Billboard tallies that blend legacy hits with a fresh breakthrough driven by his newest collaboration.

Ed Sheeran Makes His First Appearance on Billboard’s Hot Dance/Electronic Songs Chart with “Repeat It”

Earlier this month, Sheeran joined forces with electronic‑dance pioneer Martin Garrix to release “Repeat It.” In its debut tracking week, the single entered the Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart at No. 4, marking Sheeran’s first appearance on that chart and a top‑10 entry on his inaugural bid.

“Repeat It” Secures a Spot on the Dance Digital Song Sales Chart

The track also secures a placement on the Dance Digital Song Sales chart, a metric that counts only purchased downloads — primarily from services such as iTunes. Consequently, “Repeat It” marks Sheeran’s second overall Billboard chart win, debuting at No. 12 on this sales‑focused list.

Sheeran Achieves a New Career High on the Dance Charts

Sheeran’s current week represents his strongest performance yet on the Dance Digital Song Sales chart. Thanks to “Repeat It,” he reaches a new career peak, surpassing the modest December 2017 appearance of “Boa Me” by Fuse ODG and Mugeez, which lingered at No. 20 for a single week before fading.

Martin Garrix Earns Another Top‑10 Entry on the Hot Dance/Electronic Songs Chart

The single also grants Garrix his tenth top‑10 entry on the Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart, matching the peak of “Summer Days” (which features Macklemore and Fall Out Boy’s Patrick Stump) as his third‑highest‑charting release. Only his earlier anthems “Animals” and “In the Name of Love” (a 2015 collaboration with Bebe Rexha) have reached higher, both peaking at No. 3. Garrix now boasts 18 top‑10 hits and 40 total appearances on the Dance Digital Song Sales chart.

Two of Sheeran’s Classic Tracks Appear on Billboard’s Global Charts

“Repeat It” failed to chart on Billboard’s global lists, yet two of Sheeran’s classic singles remain present on those rankings. “Shape of You” appears at No. 92 on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart and No. 123 on the Billboard Global 200, while “Perfect” dips to No. 143 on the Global Excl. U.S. list and No. 175 on the overall Global 200.

He manages a single entry on the Billboard 200 albums chart, where the compilation +−=÷× (Tour Collection) slides dramatically, falling more than 100 positions from No. 39 to No. 145.
