Edmonton has reportedly decided, on its own initiative, to bring in a coach whose conduct in Columbus was deemed “in a light least favorable to Mr. Babcock” by the NHL. If the season doesn’t live up to expectations, the Oilers will have no excuses for hiring a coach whose perceived peak has already passed.
