Fatal road accidents remain frequent across Pakistan, where traffic regulations are widely disregarded. Recent years have seen numerous deadly crashes attributed to speeding, reckless driving, poor road safety awareness, overloaded vehicles, and lax enforcement.
Last month, at least 12 people were killed and dozens injured in southwestern Pakistan when a bus traveling from Karachi to Gwadar collided with a passenger van on the N-25 highway, officials reported.
