England have named their playing XI for the third T20I against India, scheduled for Trent Bridge in Nottingham on Tuesday, July 7. The hosts enter the match in confident form after a four-wicket victory in the second match in Manchester, moving 1-0 up in the series following the rain-affected opener.

Captain Harry Brook has kept faith with the same lineup that successfully chased down 191 in the previous fixture. The decision rewards the players who performed under pressure as England aim to move closer to securing the series on home soil.

The same opening pair of Phil Salt and Jos Buttler will feature, with Brook batting at number three ahead of Jacob Bethell and Tom Banton, both of whom delivered crucial contributions in the second T20I. The all-round capabilities of Sam Curran, Will Jacks and Liam Dawson provide balance, while Adil Rashid continues to lead the spin attack. Jofra Archer and Josh Tongue retain their places in the pace department.

Bethell’s unbeaten 76 off 46 balls and quick contributions from Brook and Banton proved decisive in the second match. India, still searching for their first win, face immense pressure after losing their opening T20I against England.

With England holding a 1-0 series lead, India cannot afford another defeat with only two matches remaining.

England Playing XI: Harry Brook (c), Phil Salt, Jos Buttler, Jacob Bethell, Tom Banton, Sam Curran, Will Jacks, Liam Dawson, Jofra Archer, Adil Rashid, Josh Tongue.
