The Ethereum Foundation (EF) has expanded its leadership team by appointing pcaversaccio—known professionally as “pc”—to its board. This move underscores the organization’s ongoing efforts to refine its governance structure while maintaining its commitment to decentralization and open-source principles.
pc, a seasoned security researcher and co-founder of the crisis response project SEAL 911, will serve a one-year term on the board. In addition to this role, he has previously contributed to the EF’s Silviculture Society, an informal advisory network focused on upholding the foundation’s core values such as censorship resistance, transparent development practices, and robust security measures.
The newly expanded board now includes four members: President Aya Miyaguchi, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin, Swiss legal counsel Patrick Storchenegger, and pcaversaccio. Tasked with defining the EF’s strategic direction, the board ensures that management decisions align with the organization’s foundational goals. It also acts as a specialized security council, dedicated to protecting the foundation’s mission and maintaining compliance with Swiss regulations in its current operational jurisdiction.
