Tyrique George has finalized a permanent transfer from Chelsea to Premier League club Everton, with the deal valued at an initial £18 million.
The 20-year-old, a product of Chelsea’s academy, was unable to secure a consistent first-team role at Stamford Bridge.
After joining Everton on loan for the second half of the previous campaign, the versatile winger has now signed permanently. The agreement includes add-ons that could lift the total fee to approximately £24 million.
Chelsea may see further academy graduates depart this summer. Defender Josh Acheampong is among those potentially on the move; the club rejected an approach from Bayern Munich earlier this month. Acheampong is expected to seek an exit as Chelsea prioritizes the signing of a high-profile central defender.
The Blues have already opened talks with Crystal Palace regarding Maxence Lacroix, a transfer that could cost around £50 million. Meanwhile, Trevoh Chalobah appears set to leave, with Inter Milan in advanced negotiations for a £25 million fee.
