Everton have confirmed the signing of Finland forward Jutta Rantala from Leicester City.
Leicester confirmed that Rantala had one year remaining on her contract, and it is understood that Everton activated an undisclosed release clause to secure the 26-year-old’s services.
BBC Sport reported on Tuesday that the clubs, who have already completed two prior transfers this summer, reached an agreement for her move.
France forward Noemie Mouchon joined Everton from Leicester on a free transfer last week, while Wales striker Hannah Cain returned to Merseyside from the Foxes two days later.
Rantala scored 13 goals in 48 appearances since joining Leicester from Swedish club Vittsjo GIK in 2023.
She was Leicester’s player of the season and top scorer in 2023-24, though she suffered a knee injury during the following campaign.
Rantala has netted 10 goals in 36 appearances for Finland and was part of their squad at Euro 2025.
She is the sixth player to leave Leicester this summer following their relegation from the Women’s Super League in June.
Everton aim to improve upon their eighth-place finish in the WSL last season after manager Brian Sorensen’s departure.
Scott Phelan was appointed as his permanent successor this summer, and the club has made six signings so far, including the trio from Leicester.
