A fire erupted at a Japanika restaurant in Netanya after a stolen military ordnance was hurled at the establishment, Israeli Police announced on Tuesday morning.
A preliminary investigation indicates the incident is criminal, “stemming from an ongoing dispute among criminal factions,” according to the police statement.
Personnel from the Netanya station, together with fire and rescue units, were dispatched to the scene.
No injuries have been reported, although the premises sustained fire damage.
Police have opened an investigation into the event.
This marks the fifth similar incident in central Israel within the past 24 hours, following four separate grenade attacks on Monday.
An explosion was heard in Herzliya after a suspicious object was hurled at a building, as reported by the Israel Police spokesperson.
Authorities responded to an intersection in central Herzliya; no injuries were reported, but minor property damage occurred.
The incident is believed to be criminal in nature.
