This weekend, F1 Academy marked its first racing appearance at Silverstone, joining the support line‑up for the expanded British Grand Prix calendar.

Now in its fourth season, the all‑female championship earned a place on the eventocaine support bill, racing alongside F2 and F3 during the Formula 1 sprint weekend.

With five British drivers—Megan Bruce, Ella Lloyd, Alisha Palmowski, Rachel Robertson and Ella Stevens—this weekend holds extra excitement for them and is expected to attract a record 565,000‑strong crowd.

Palmowski, who is backed by Red Bull, leads the standings after two victories in the first three rounds of the season, with team‑mate Bruce in third place.

“It’s going to be really special,” Palmowski told Sky Sports.

“My passion for motorsport was unlocked here at Silverstone, so itন্থ really will be a dream come true.

“I’m used to being a fan in the grandstands, yet now actually being on track and absorbing all that atmosphere will be incredible.”

Palmowski, 19, first attended the British Grand Prix as a young fan in 2015, the year Lewis Hamilton secured a record nine victories.

“I was eight years old, woke up at 6 am and stood in the front row for the best view of the cars,” she said.

“The first time I saw F1 cars in person—the smell, the sound—suddenly I was hooked.”

The sweeping Silverstone layout, widely regarded as one of motorsport’s most challenging tracks, continues to captivate drivers with its dynamic racing surface.
