[Gabe Kidd Reunites With The Dogs During Surprise Return on AEW Dynamite]

Gabe Kidd has returned to AEW.

He made a surprise resurgence during Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite broadcast, rejoining Clark Connors and David Finlay to form The Dogs once again.

The timing was sparked by Jon Moxley’s win in the Continental Challenge Cup, and Kidd entered the ring amid a melee with Orange Cassidy, Kyle O’Reilly and AEW World Trios Champion Hangman Page. Their struggle eventually drew the Conglomeration into the fray, shifting the division’s momentum.

This encounter set the stage for Hangman Page to challenge The Conglomeration for the AEW World Trios title at All In.

That afternoon marked Kidd’s first AEW appearance since the April dynasty era, when The Dogs lost the trios belts to The Conglomeration. He sustained a shoulder injury during the bout and later confronted visa restrictions that lengthened his absence.

In the meantime, Connors and Finlay remained paired and fell short in their attempt to claim the AEW World Tag Team championship at Redemption later in July.

Earlier, Kidd claimed the IWGP Global Championship at Road to G1 Climax, defeating Shota Umino; the match was intended to take place at the Forbidden Door.

Adding to his achievements, Kidd closed out the 2026 G1 Climax, prevailing over Zack Sabre Jr., Ren Narita, Oskar, Aaron Wolf and Henare.
