A 51‑year‑old attendee died after falling during Goose’s performance at New York’s Madison Square Garden on June 20. NYPD told CBS News that officers found the man, later identified as Paul Kueker, unconscious and unresponsive around 10 p.m. He had plunged from the arena’s 300‑level, an elevated platform overlooking the floor. He was transported to Bellevue Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

In a statement to CBS, Madison Square Garden said: “While we await the police report on the tragedy that occurred during last night’s Goose concert, we are deeply saddened by the loss of a fan’s life at our venue. Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the concertgoer.”

Goose’s Friday night show was part of their ongoing “Big Tour,” which continues tonight in Central Park as part of New York’s annual SummerStage series. In an Instagram post earlier today, the band wrote that they were “deeply saddened and heartbroken” to learn of the incident at Madison Square Garden. “We extend our deepest sympathy to everyone affected,” they added, thanking emergency personnel and venue staff for their care and support.
