Fat Dog have released a dynamic new single titled “Call It What You Want,” accompanied by the announcement of their debut Australian tour and additional UK outstore performances.
The track, which incorporates rave-inspired synths and post-punk influences, explores themes of personal doubt and familial uncertainty. Frontman Joe Love reflects on the song’s introspective nature: “That’s me confronting my family’s struggles and wondering if similar challenges are inevitable for me—whether they’re part of my DNA.”
The single serves as the latest preview of their upcoming album *Cancel Me (I’m Tired)*, the follow-up to their 2024 debut *WOOF*. The album, due October 2 via Domino Records, is described as an “electro-punk-art-pop-rock-space-country triumph,” blending inventive and reinventions of genre conventions, according to the press release.

Fat Dog will also embark on a series of UK shows this year, including performances at Rough Trade stores in Bristol, Liverpool, Nottingham, East London, and beyond. Dates extend to venues in Kingston, Sheffield, Edinburgh, and Newcastle, alongside international stops in Belgium, France, Spain, and Germany. Their first Australian tour begins December 10 in Brisbane, with additional dates in Meredith, Melbourne, Sydney, and Perth.
