A car explosion in Jaffa on Sunday morning resulted in the death of a man, according to Israel Police.
Another individual was transported to Wolfson Medical Center for treatment; Israeli media reported that the injured was a six‑year‑old child, the son of the deceased.
Israel Police are currently investigating the cause of the explosion.
Initial investigations indicate that the vehicle traveled roughly 100 meters before the blast occurred.
Police are examining whether the incident constitutes a revenge killing linked to the murder of a child in Jaffa last week.
“We are aware of the Thursday conflict in Jaffa and are still determining whether the incidents are connected,” Israel Police’s Tel Aviv District Commander, Assistant Commissioner Haim Sargarof, said to the press at the scene.
This is a developing story.
