Philip Morris International Inc. announced that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued Marketing Granted Orders to its U.S. affiliate, Swedish Match USA, Inc. The authorization covers 11 ZYN ULTRA moist oral nicotine pouch products, comprising all 9mg variants and one 11mg variant, with additional 11mg variants currently under scientific review.
These decisions build on the FDA’s prior authorizations of ZYN products across a range of flavors and in both 3mg and 6mg strengths, further expanding the portfolio available in the U.S. market.
Following the announcement, Philip Morris International shares closed regular trading at $188.23, down $3.29 or 1.72% on the New York Stock Exchange.
