Federal officials announced Thursday that the FBI had taken into custody a 35‑year‑old woman suspected of planning a terrorist attack on the New York State Capitol, inspired by the Islamic State.

Jessica Bowie, a resident of Albany, New York, faces charges of attempting to provide material support to a designated foreign terrorist organization, according to the officials.
