The Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) Immigration Wing intercepted a government employee at Multan Airport on Sunday who was attempting to travel internationally using a fraudulent no-objection certificate (NOC).
According to a press release issued by the agency, the individual, identified as Mohsin Ali, was scheduled to depart for the United Arab Emirates on flight PA812. Ali is reportedly employed as a ward servant at the District Health Authority in Vehari.
“Preliminary investigations reveal that the passenger presented an NOC for overseas travel, which was confirmed to be counterfeit during the verification process,” the agency stated.
The investigation further suggests that the passenger allegedly obtained the forged document through an official named Naveed Imran, who is stationed at the District Health Authority, Vehari. The suspect has been transferred to the FIA’s Anti-Human Trafficking Circle in Multan for further legal proceedings.
Attaur Rehman, Director of the FIA Multan Zone, commended the immigration team for their vigilance. “We are maintaining a strict crackdown on individuals involved in the fabrication of documents,” Rehman said in the official statement.
He advised citizens to utilize only legal channels for international travel and warned against sharing personal information or official documentation with unauthorized individuals. Additionally, Rehman urged the public to promptly report any instances of visa fraud to the relevant FIA authorities.
