INDEPENDENCE, Mo. – The Florida Everblades have captured the 2026 Kelly Cup, defeating the Kansas City Mavericks 5-4 in a double-overtime victory during Game 6. The championship-clinching win took place before a capacity crowd of 5,786 fans at Cable Dahmer Arena.
With this victory, Florida further cements its ECHL legacy, securing its fifth overall championship and fourth title in the last five seasons. Notably, this marks the first time the Everblades have clinched the championship on opposing ice, having won their previous four titles at home.
Goaltender Cam Johnson was named the June M. Kelly Playoffs Most Valuable Player, marking the third time in his career he has received the honor. Johnson, who previously won the award in 2022 and 2023, finished the postseason with a 16-3 record, posting a .921 save percentage and a 1.93 goals-against average.
