Foo Fighters have surprised fans with the sudden release of a new live EP, titled ‘Are Playing Where??? Vol. II’, now available on Bandcamp.
This release marks the second installment in a series that began last October with ‘Are Playing Where??? Vol. I’, which featured live recordings from the band’s US tour earlier this year.
The new EP features six tracks recorded during the band’s recent intimate performances at Irving Plaza in New York City on April 30 and the Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, New Jersey, on May 2. These shows were part of a specialized run of small-venue gigs held throughout the year.
Included in ‘Are Playing Where??? Vol. II’ are performances of ‘Of All People’, ‘Window’, and the title track from their most recent studio album, ‘Your Favorite Toy’, alongside longtime classics such as ‘These Days’, ‘My Hero’, and ‘Aurora’.
The EP is available on a pay-what-you-want basis via Bandcamp. The band has announced that all proceeds from these sales will be donated to local charities in the cities where the shows took place.
